The Dirty Canon

The Marseille Figs' first proper album is finished and scheduled for release on November 19th, distributed in the UK & Europe by Cargo Records. It'll be available online from the Cargo website and Stateside from CDBaby.

The Dirty Canon features romping stompers, barroom ballads, honking skronking songs, sweet old saws, dirges, hymns and derelict love songs. It's got thunder, lightning, monkey grunts and rock & roll romance galore. Get it from all good shops starting November 19th, or preview it at LastFM.

Produced in Hamburg by polymath artist and Pogues-founder Jem Finer and Louisiana swamp-pop legend DM Bob, and finished in London with Brian O’Shaughnessy (of Screamadelica fame), The Dirty Canon features guest performances by Automatic Jack Brennan on drums and London Legend John Edwards on double bass. It's Figs of London no. FOL 1.
